Dear Mayo, Yours of this morning has reached me and nothing relative to Mr: Pole and Miss Long will astonish me: I know that not a direction has yet been given about marriage articles and the young lady cannot be so unwise to enter into the state of matrimony without some writings: and as for the young gentleman where profligacy and folly direct it is impossible to foresee what may happen: I trust Lady Mayo will write if any thing transpires that is certain during Your Lordship's absence.
