William has received Lord Mayo's letter containing information regarding Miss Long's [Catherine Tylney-Long] engagement with Mr Pole [William Pole-Tylney-Long-Wellesley, 4th Earl of Mornington]; he declares not to be surprised by anything now.
He believes his enemies are disseminating news against him, relative to Mrs Jordan.
He will soon be in New Norfolk Street with his daughter, to dine with Lord and Lady Mayo.
