You are acquainted with our transactions till leaving Calais. We had the most beautiful Weather for our journey except the Wednesday and Friday when the rain was excessive and constant. Nothing could have been more prosperous than our journey. My daughters had the advantage of being present at the [[Foreign: French]] Fete de Dieu [[/foreign] at Coblenz on the Sunday as in all the Protestant governments by the Concordat with the Pope it can only be celebrated on a Sunday. The procession was not so magnificent as I expected tho' the flags of the different crafts were pretty. All the civil authorities attended and tho' the Prussian Soldiers at Coblenz are almost entirely Catholick and had not a Church Parade to allow them to attend the procession I saw none except
