Once for a wonder, have been at the theatre - more to please Others than myself.- Mr. Hook, the Consul, offered me his Box, & knowing that the excellent Princess of herford wish to go I took her but I was so cramped - & so stiff when it was over - that I was like a Turkey [[unclear]] after having the gout from damp & was some days recovering it Tonight I was asked to go to a Ball being of a Saturday, I hate it, as I like to be home before Sunday, however a violent head ache decided me to remain quiet for the loudness of their voices - small Rooms, & all stuck together I could not undertake, & now I am sure of Church tomorrow - I get out in the air, when can, wrapt up like a Mummy, but today I have not, not [[unclear]] such to the lady, so I shall give myself a quiet Evening at Home
