deliberate attentions, of such a Committee. & where it was not discussed with that delicacy which was so desireable, & where unbecoming slights intruded occasionally, among the general arrangements under consideration-- among other instances, it has been said, that a suggestion was thrown out, that as His Majesty did not now leave his apartments in Windsor Castle, that [[underline]] there could be no occasion for Carriage & Horses [[/underline]] for Him; & that therefore these were no longer necessary for the future Establishment at Windsor. This [[underline]] harsh [[/underline]] proposition was overruled & it was now fixed, That [[underline]] Five Carriage Horses should be allowed for His Majesty, [[/underline]] & that Three Horses for his Attendant Equerry should be maintained.
