[[underline]] Henry the 8th 1509 [[/underline]] Henry the 8th succeeded his Father on April 22d 1509--he married Catharine of Arragon his Brother's widow, by his Fathers desire, after living with her 20 years he was divorced from her [[underline]] alledging [[/underline]] scruples of Conscience as Catharine had been married to his Brother. His second wife was Anne Boleyn, she was beheaded; by all accounts she appears to have been innocent of the crimes imputed to her. The day after her death he married Jane Seymour who died in Childbed. Henry the 8th regretted her very much and remained a Widower for two years, He then married Anne of Cleves whom he never liked and from whom he was seperated. He next married Catharine Howard who was also Beheaded. His last wife was Catharine Parr she survived him. [[catchword]] He [[/catchword]]
