Weymouth August 1794. the whole Cabinet Unanimously had signed a Paper to represent to Him the Necessity of sending Lrd Cornwallis to Command [[deletion]] Ou [[/deletion]] The [[deletion]] All [[/deletion]] English & Allied Army in the room of the Duke of York, & that The Secretary at War Mr Windham offered to go over to persuade the Duke of serving under Lrd Cornwallis. The Kg told me that they whole Cabinet being Unanimous, He refused writing himself to the Duke & left it to them to take the Steps Necessary for that purpose. The Kg is of oppinion that the Duke will not come in to their proposal but that He will come home. Ldy Charlotte Bruce received the News of the intended Match between Miss Luci Scott & Lrd Down, Lrd Murrays Son being off.
