Weymouth August 1794. [[note]] Tuesday 19th [[/note]] We saw upon the Esplanade a French Abbé with a little Portuguese Boy by the name of Dohrman born Deaf & Dum aged 9 years. This Child was sent to the Abbe who belonged formerly to the Seminary of Deaf & Dum People at Paris instituted by the Abé d'Epé, & Sicar. about 15 months ago to Winchester where the Abé was retired since the French Revolution. The Child when He came appeared in a state of Idiotism, but since under the Tuition of Monsieur
