London January 1794 to St James Dressed & went into the Drawing [[note]] 23d [[/note]] room by 20 Minutes past two, came from thence at ½ past 3. I saw the P. of Wales & Duke of Clarence they went to the House of Lrds I Undressed, saw Ldy Charlotte Finch & then we all returned to the Q.H. & Dined. after Caffe I went Up Stairs read & worked till 7. when the Prince of Wales came to give an account of Lrd Stanhopes Singular Speech which He declared to be almost Prophane. He went to the Kg from me. at 8 the Kg came the Music begun & we played at Cards. The Party was Ldys Cardigan, Chatham, Howe, Downshire Ldy Harriot Thynn. Ldy Bulkley, Mrs Howe, Ldy Sidney, Ldy Jane Dundass, & Ldy Frances Howard, Grl Budé & Major Price, we played till ¼ before 11. Supped & retired by ¼ before 12. [[note]] Fryday 24th [[/note]] Breakfast as Usual, the Kg went to the Manage, I went into my Closet with the Princesses saw Mr Best, Mr Duval, & Mr Keate the Surgeon.
