London. January. 1794. [[note]] Fryday 17th [[/note]] This Morning Breakfasted at 9. & found the Duke of Clarence in the Room when I came returned from Dover where He went with His brother Adolphus who Set Sail for Flanders in the Vestal Frigate last Night He brought me a Letter from Adolphus after Breakfast the Kg went out on Horseback & the Princesses & myself went to Prepare our Selves for the Birth Day. at one I dressed & afterwards read & worked till 3. when Ma- dam Beauvais came with the Birth Day Cloath. I saw Lady Cathcart. a little after 4 we Dined, after Caffe we went Up Stairs the Princesses Danced & I worked. Elyzabeth brought me a table from Lady Harrington of Darbyshyre Sparr [[deletion]] upon [[/deletion]] the Border of which she Painted. at 8 the Kg came the Music begun & we played at Cards, the Party was Mrs Howe, Colonel Garth, Lord Bulkley & Mrs Stanhope, Lady Georgina Leveson, Ldy Sidney Ldy Grenville Ldy Cathcart, Miss Townsend & Mr Digby. we played till ½ past 10. Supped & retired ½ past 11. [[note]] Saturday 18th [[/note]] Breakfasted as Usual at 9. This being kept as my Birth Day I found in the room assembled
