January. 1794 [[note]] 1st [[/note]] & the After Piece a New Farce called Harlequin Dr Faustus or the Devil will have His way. we returned ½ past ii a Clock then Supped & retired by 12. a Clock. [[note]] 2d [[/note]] We Breakfasted at ¼ past.9. The Kg did not go to Kew, but to the Manege with P. Adolphus. I went to Dress for Court & so did the Princesses. at one a Clock we went to St James, & at .2. into the drawing room from which we did not return till ½ past .4. at .5. we returned to the Q.H. & dined after Dinner I went to my own rooms & saw Field Mareshall Freytag, till .8. when the Kg came Upstairs & we went into another Room to Play at Cards. The Company was The Marchioness of Salisbury, The Countesses Chesterfield, Harrington, Holderness, Harcourt, Chatham. Ldy Jane Dundas, Mrs Stanhope & Mrs Howe. Lrd Harrington, Major Grl. Goldsworthy, & Grl Bude. we played till ½ past 10. Supped & retired by ½ past 11. Viscountess Cremorne was also of our party this Evening
