Revd. Mr. Willis if The King distinguished days--He answerd Yes--Sir Philip then said, I do not think H. M:y would play at Cards on a Sunday if He was well, & Himself Mr. Willis replied, He know it is wrong, but He says He thinks it may now be Excusable, for He had no other way of Entertaining the Queen. [[underline]] Monday Febry 16th. [[/underline]] The Bulletin of this Morning was short & very favorable--Sir George Baker said He found the King tolerably well & both He & Dr. Reynolds agree that in the short conversation they had with Him they discovered no impropriety in it-- This Morning I went to Town--On my return I found that there had been many Enquiries from Twon-- Among those who came were the Duke of Athol the Duke of Bucclugh Lord Cathcart &c &c. The King walked out twice this day--In one of his Walks He was accompanied by the Queen--They went to the Green House & afterwards to the Exotic Garden. The King accidentally saw my Servant in the Dining Room as He passed through--He asked Him if I was come back from Town, & how I di--He then Enquired of Him, how long He had lived with me-- These questions reminded much of the gracious kindness, which was Ever so much awake in Him, in his undisturbed days-- I hope I am mistaken in my observations, when I think, that
