Him - In the course of this Walk He went to The Observatory from whence He sent to Richmond for some Cheesecakes called [[underline]] Maids of Honour, [[/underline]] which when brought he Eat and divided with those who were with Him - Such was the report from Mr. Hawkins of [[underline]] this favorable & Memorable day, [[/underline]] from circumstances which occurred during his Walk of an hour & a half with H:My: How is confidence to steer, amidst such Intricate & uncertain Channels! This Evening The Queen Pss: Mary & Pss: S: saw the King in his Apartment - The report of this Visit from Dr. Willis was very favorable - This day The Prince of Wales & the Duke of York came to Kew about 12 o'Clock [[addition]] & saw The Queen [[/addition]] & later in the day Mr. Pitts arrived & had an Interview with Her Majesty - Sir Lucas Pepys did not see the King this Evening. He informed The Revd. Mr. Willis this Evening, that He had had a long conversation on Wednesday last (the 11th: last) with The Chancellor, & that He had reported [[underline]] "The King to be in a state of convalescence" [[/underline]] I much fear that too much of precipitancy attached to this Opinion - [[deletion]] L [[/deletion]] [[addition]] Convalescence [[/addition]] will be nearer at hand according to My ideas when Reserve or Pensiveness mark in some degree a sense of his Situation - & I must doubt those symptoms of convalescence, which return satisfaction in the mode's in which
