saw Him coming across the Lawn in a very heavy shower which wet most of his Attendants thro' - HE Himself fared better as He had his great coat on, which none of the others had - On his return He amused Himself throughout the day with playing on the Flute, and Instrument He once had played on, but which He had left off for many Years - He also got by permission some small Tables & some books which He had seen at The Cottage in the Gardens Yesterday & which He had then desired might be brought here. This Evening He saw the Queen, Princess Mary, and Princess Sophia. From some circumstances which had happened Yesterday Doctor Willis had not intended that another visit should have taken place so soon again - He behaved however with more calmness & propriety than He had on the preceding Night - He played at Piquet with The Queen & some Singing took place, & Pss: Mary took a part - She sung [[underline]] Wind gentle Evergreen, & Deel take The Wars [[/underline]] most prettily. Tho' The King as usual has talked much, He was certainly more composed this Evening than He has lately beene.
