& Dr. Gisborne saw Him this Morning, when they found no great amendment in the turn of his Conversations. To Dr. Warren He mentioned the Visit He had had the preceding Evening & from The Queen & Two Princesses, but spoke rather slightingly of the former_ The remarkable Event of this Morning has been, that Doctor Willis allowed The King [[underline]] to shave Himself [[/underline]]_ A [[underline]] similar indulgence [[/underline]] had been granted in an early part of this Illness, & since, Dr. Willis acknowledged [[underline]] its [[/underline]] risks_ How He could now allow this, after He had the thus reflected upon former risks, is wonderful_ Happily [[addition]] ˄no [[/addition]] unpleasant consequences resulted from this indulgence_ H.My. Walked out, twice this day & is reported to have behaved sedately & quietly. From what I had an opportunity of observing myself his manner was rather hurried, & He was not thought altogether so calm as yesterday_ He has now become well accustomed to his New attendants He has begun with Them, as He has already done with others, to give or take away Pensions, as they are, or are not in favor_ One of these new attendants is a Swiss_ with Him He had a humourous conversation this day_ The King spoke French to Him_ The Swiss (Galliard/ said He was not to speak French to Him. Upon which The King said "[[underline]] I know you cannot speak English [[/underline]]
