Presently after Dr Willis came into the Library & commented on the Bulletin & said to Lady Charlotte Finch & us that they had mentioned that The King was not quiet but that He was quite quiet & had been so in the morning-- To this nobody then in the room made the least reply-- In the course of this morning came Lord Waldegrave Lord Ailesbury & Colonels Goldsworthy Gwyn & Manners. Colonel Gwyn [[underline]] not having been here since Dr. Willis came [[/underline]] wished [[underline]] to see Him & his men. [[/underline]] I proposed to Him & General Lascelles then in the room to accompany me into The Pages room where perhaps I might have an opportunity of shewing Them to Him. When we came in to the Pages Room, I saw [[underline]] Spicer [[/underline]] one of Willis's men coming out of the King's Apartment, with a patch on his Cheek. Thinking this was done in shaving I jokingly as He passed me said [[underline]] Why "Spicer You have shaved too high today" [[/underline]] He replied Sir I have had a bustle. & He then informed me that The King had been turbulent & would do only what He chose, that upon being checked He struck Spicer in the face & cut his Cheek, & which attack had put Him under coercion where He then was. As I observed blood upon Spicers Cheek I said that it seemed to have bled a good deal, on which opening his Waiscoat He shewed us much blood on his Waiscoat, but in good humour He added We have made it up again, & He has promised me more than He did yesterday--
