He was irritable throughout the day, which being an unfavorable one, prevented the chance of his going out-- In the evening I saw H: My. without his seeing me & had good opportunity of observing his manner, & attending to his conversation. He was in good humour but much hurried. He was playing at cards with Dr: Gisborne, but He did not seem to settle to his Game. At one time it was interrupted by his taking out a Sermon. Then a Prayer Book from the Drawer. Then to cards again & so on-- He rejoiced at The Queen of Hearts falling to The King kissing it & indicating the same ill directed turn of thought which He has had but too long upon this Subject On the whole, tho' the general turn of his behaviour has throughout the day been good natured Hurry, yet every now & then He flew out impetuously, abusing then Mr. Willis very much & whom He called a Rascal. Mr Willis on this gave the King a very strong reproof. He felt it & immediately softening He told Him [[underline]] "He should now have "his friendship again" [[/underline]] Sir George Baker remarked to me this morning that throughout this attack He had observed that whenever The King had a good night, that almost invariably He had become high & irritable afterwards-- [[underline]] Thursday Janry. 22d [[/underline]] The last night has been reported as having been a very indifferent one. H: My. had about 2 hours & 1/2 sleep altogether-- When awake He was disturbed
