It was to ask me to which Door it would be most advisable that The King's Carriage should come whether to that in the Garden front or to the usual front Door of the House. & to desire me to come & let Her know when all was ready & decided on. As I went from the Queens Apartment I met Doctor Willis, who informed me That He and his Son Mr. Thos. Willis would be of my Party in the Coach to attend the King in his Airing. I replied by saying that He must judge both as to the proper Persons to go, & also as to the times, when it was proper H: My. should go, but I freely owned to Him, that I thought this no trifling Experiment & I hoped The King would be composed & not expose Himself on the trial. My. should go to Richmond Park as the most private place within reach & that the King Himself had wished it.
