this beginning storm dispersed and Mr Charles Hawkins continued to play at Piquet, remained with H.M. a considerable time-- [[underline]] Tuesday Jan 16th. [[/underline]] The King passed a good night, & in the morning He was tolerably calm. After the physicians had left Him He sent for a Bible which Dr Willis received from me out of the library-- This morning Mr Pitt came & had an interview with the Queen & he afterwards saw Dr Willis-- During this day H.M. remained as He had begun it, & in the evening He saw nobody but ^ [[addition]] the [[/addition]] Doctor Willis's, & the Revd. [[unclear]]: Willis Prebend of Lincoln, a younger son of Dr Willis. This Gentleman has been introduced lately. He has seen the King occasionally, & is often here on his fathers concerns-- During this evening Dr John Willis & the Prebend were chiefly with the King. The latter read Him a Sermon preached lately by him & conversed with Him on religious subjects. Religion this day silenced Latin. This I hope may produce the benifit in view, but I have my doubts as His mind is not yet settled, that it may lead it into wanderings. I am fearful, because at the beginning of this illness religious topics much occupied His M.'s thoughts & then greatly bewildered Them-- Dr. Gisbome was in waiting this evening, [[underline]] but did not go [[/underline]] into the King's apartment. He remained a long time in the room adjoining [[unclear]] the Antiroom
