He talked of a Windsor Castle Dutchess & many inconsistancies were mixed with rational conversations, which has generally been the case during this Illness. H: My. went quietly to bed but He did not sleep with composure. He was restless. In the night He jumped up & sat a moment at his fire, but returned quietly to his Bed. Dr. Willis has at different times laid great stress on the effects of the Blisters applied to H. My's legs by Sir Lucas Pepys's prescription, & to which He imputed much of the Excessive uneasiness He had experienced & He imputed to Them much of his late Violence. [[underline]] Friday Decr: 19th. [[/underline]] The appearance of H. My's manner was not so favorable as that of last night & He indicated symptoms of Crossness. Some books had been given to Him about this time by Dr. Willis, of these were four Volumes of Cibber's Works, & some of Foote's Plays. To whom He was obliged for [[underline]] King Lear [[/underline]] I know not, but somehow it had been imprudently given to Him. Dr. Warren who came to Kew this morning expressed great objection on this circumstance to Dr. Willis. His son Dr. John Willis got all the books from the King & they were replaced in the Library. In the course of this morning H. M: became more touchy, & symptoms of returning crossness appeared
