attend H.M. in this Walk, that I was clear, that He Entertained hopes of being able to slip away & by What came out afterwds proved the intention of giving Us a run, as in the Course of the day He told one of his Pages that his Plan had been to put the Bottle of Arquebusade Water in his Pocket & after throwing some of it [[underline]] in my Eyes, [[/underline]] to have run off. A Plan not ill conceived, by Heads of steadier reflection - Most part pf this day H.M. passed under considerable Agitation which at times somewhat subsiding He then became more composed, & occupied Himself in various Ways - among these He resorted to an occupation not uninteresting to Him in settled days. He drew Plans of The House, & contrived & sketched alterations in it - & this He did with tolerable accuracy -- From sentences which had occasionally escaped from Him during his illness He had shewn that his unhappy situation was not unknown to Him - An Observation dropped from Him this morning while drawing which mark'd the sense He had of his Misfortune very strongly. Having drawn a line pretty firmly & strait He approved by saying to His Page [[underline]] "Pretty well for a Man who is Mad" [[/underline]] Towards the Evening these more composed intervals left Him & He became more turbulent & unmanageable refusing his meals, & medicines - At times He was mischievously jocose & at which time He burnt two Wigs belonging to one of his Pages - At another He was childishly
