At last I was sent to find Gray (The resident Upholsterer) to sett one of the Pullies of the Windows right -- In one of the outer Apartments I found The Duke of York walking about & Dr.Warren sitting at the Table. On my coming in The Duke asked Me how the King was - I answer'd that things were going on but badly, & that I had been dispatched on a Commission - On being asked what it was, I mentioned the particulars to H.R.H. who desired Me on My return to say, that Gray was sent to Town. I asked permission instead of that to say, that The Physicians had directed that Gray should not attend at present. This was agreed to - H.R.H. & Dr. Warren then asked Me some Questions respecting H.Mys. behaviour that Morning. I said that He had been in the [[underline]] room adjoining his Sitting [[/underline]] Room & that He had been talking a good deal with his Pages. The Duke of York thought this should not be, & Dr.Warren being Entirely of the same Opinion, The latter wrote an Order ^ [[addition]] viz [[/addition]] that the Physicians Directed that H.My. should not go beyond his two rooms this day, & that He should not go beyond his two rooms this day, & that He should have with Him but one Equerry -- The Duke saw this Order, & Dr Warren desired Me in his presence, to read that Order to His Majesty. When I return'd to The Kings Apartment, I acquainted H. M. before Gieswell one of his Pages, that I had been for Gray, but that the Physicians had directed that He should not attend that day, & that I had received at the same time another order from H.Mys.
