up, & came into the next room - He was ill pleased that the Pages should remain in it while He was there -- He battled this long & strenuously, but necessity & prudence carried the point against his Wishes - He became out of humour at the disappointment -- He would not be shewed - He would not Eat his dinner, this at last was overcome tho' he stood out against being shaved -- This operation He had all along much opposed, unless He might be persuaded to perform it Himself -- At length on this occasion He consented after much difficulty, but when half shaved He refused to let the other half be finished, unless certain indulgencies were granted -- After continuing some time half shaved (a singular appearance as He [[deletion]] [[unclear]] [[/deletion]] not been ^ [[addition]] shaved [[/addition]] for upwards of a fortnight) He at length gave up the point -- [[underline]] Thursday Novr. 20th [[/underline]] - The last night has been altogether the best, which H.My. has Experienced since his Illness begun - He had 7 hours & a half good sleep, & of which 5 hours & a half was without any interruption. He awoke composed & much refreshed - His Physicians deemed it proper that the Attendance of those about Him should be continued with stricter regulation than before, & this day They signed their order & of which the following is a Copy -- Order "[[underline]] November 20th. 1788."
