This Night I received a Letter from General Johnston, whose Waiting as Equerry to His Majesty, was to succeed mine, requesting Me to take his Waiting for Him until Tuesday next-- [[underline]] Saturday Septr. 1st. [[/underline]] In consequence of General Johnstons Letter to Me, I sent this Morning Early for My Two Horses, which I had ordered to Town on Wednesday last, & directed that they should now return again to Windsor --- Before Chapel H.My. went to His Stables, where He ordered his Horses for this Mornings ride. I took this opportunity of mentioning to H.My. that I had heard from General Johnston late in the Evening & Explained Every thing.
