On this I put on my Boots & took a quiet solitary ride to Datchet Bridge, then sauntered on the Banks of the Thames towards Eton, & returned the same way to Windsor. On my return I dressed & ordering a pair of Horses to be put to My Coach, I went to dine at Ditton with Lord Beaulieu about 3 miles from Windsor. From hence I returned in good time to My duties, & I met His Majesty at his Stables a little after Six o'clock, a punctuality He had not expected, as He knew where I had dined -- I had the honor of attending Him with The Queen & Royal Family to The Terrace, which was uncommonly crowded this Evening -- The Evening concluded at The Queen's Lodge as usual, with Tea & Music -- Mr. [[underline]] Burton [[/underline]] The Composer was in the Music Room -- I had never seen Him, but I have often admired some of his compositions played
