In another memorandum Mr Greville says " on retiring from the Altar The "Prince of Wales gave to The Earl "of Harcourt, Master of the Horse to "The Queen, his Hat, with a rich "Diamond Button & loop, & took "Lord Harcourt's hat from him "in exchange. "The occasion of this valuable "present was never explained, His "Lordship at the time was in waiting "on the Queen, as Her Master of the "Horse."
