P: 64} Jan: 20. Tuesday. at 5.p.m.} [[underline]] To the Q.C. [[/underline]] H:M: pass'd the whole of yesterday very quietly, & in the course of the day slept 2 ¼ hours. HM. slept only ½ an hour in ye night but was free from irritation. H:M: has said very little, & had appear'd generally in good humour; yet by His conduct & occasional expressions has continued to manifest the disordered [[deletion]] state [[/deletion]] [[addition]] character [[/addition]] of His Mind. Soon after H:M: had eaten His breakfast this morning, He dress'd & went into His usual sitting room where He fell asleep before the time of our formally seeing Him; & as H:M: seem'd disposed to doze, & had had so little sleep in the night, we have thought it better not to rouse Him, by addressing Him, till the day shall be further advanced.
