Jan: 26. Sunday. P: 72. Throughout the greater part of the afternoon & evening yesterday H:M: was quiet & silent - Between 5 & 6 however, He spoke a good deal in His usual erroneous manner. H:M: went to bed by His own desire about 8½ - & began to sleep a little before 10. H:M: slept however not more than 1½ hour and did not sleep again during the night. He was employ'd during the night in giving several concerts to imaginary company, in which H:M: attempted to sing some songs. - Our interview this morning was short. H:M: rec'd us in good humour & readily allowed His pulse to be felt wch was good - but He was so much occupied with His ideal company as to lose the impression of our presence, & it was thought advisable to withdraw.
