Jan: 21. Tuesday - To the Q.C. H:M: appeared by turns drowsy & irritable throughout the last day. He slept at different times near 7 hours before He went to bed, & one hour more in the course of the night - H:M: talk'd very little & that in the same manner as for some time past. He has taken His food well; but Has shewn His mind to be in such a state of irritation as to be hardly approachable - We were unable to feel H: Ms: pulse - or to have any sort of conversation - But H: Ms: countenance was clear & looking well - HH.
