P.66. Jany: 6. Monday. H:M: slept in ye course of ye day yesterday 5½ hours. While awake H:M: was in good humour, & was sometimes engag'd in playing upon His harpsichord, but was more commonly employ'd in talking upon the much errononeous subjects. H:M: took his dinner well, & there was no ceremony preceding it. H:M: went to bed witht: reluctance but He sat a good while near the fire in the bedroom before He went to bed, & was then occupied very much with the subjects of the delusion H:M: slept 4 hours in the night. At the interview this morning He soon lost the sense of the presence of the Phys:s being so deeply occupied with His own distemper'd fancies.
