Dec: 24. Tuesday. To the Q.C. H:M: slept yesterday morning till 1/4 11. & then awoke in a state of that irritation, in which it was thought prudent not to address His Majesty. The greater part of the day H:M. talk'd in a desultory & trifling manner; but towards evening became more still, & soon after 7 He slept again for nearly two hours. H:M. went to bed in good humour, but was longer than usual in undressing. He slept more than 4 hours in the night, & was generally quiet. This morning H:M: has been very good humour'd, & detaind us much longer than common with various conversation of which the prevailing character was very trifling. WH: Signd. W Heberden J. Willis R.
