Dec: 23. - Monday To the Q.C. H:M: contind this the whole of yesterday in high spirits - He was constantly engaged in talking to ideal company - & more especially to those objects of preference who have occupied so much of H.M. attention. H:M. ate His dinner with relish, & it was preceded by the usual ceremony. H:M: still persever'd in the same kind of conversation in the evening & some time before He went to bed, & during undressing there was in it a great measure of grossness -- H:M: slept in the night 3 3/4 hours without interruption. While awake He was earnestly talking & at times very grossly. H:M: fell asleep about 8 1/2 this morning & has not yet awoke. His ankles both last night & the night before were certainly not more swell'd than on Friday night & we think rather less. MB. (Signd) M. Baillie. J. Willis R. Willis asleep about * 1/2
