P: 90. Dec: 21. 1811. Saturday - H.M. state yesterday was characterized rather by levity both in His deportment & language than by irritability & excitement, & we were not surpris'd on this account to observe no religious ceremony precede His dinner - if indeed it be expected that we shd find [[underline]] method [[/underline]] in the Ks: eccentricities. H:M: slept 3 1/2 hours in the course of the day - & went to bed without much objection, but He has not slept an instant during the night. H:Ms: reception of the Physs: this morning was not gracious - but He conversed for a considerable time without ill humour - & detail'd a great many anecdotes with precision & correctness - but in the midst of all broke forth more than once into a full expression of His distemper'd opinions - HH H.
