Dec: 18. - Wednesday - P. 76 - To the Q. C. H:M: talk'd with little interruption thro' the last day; & in a very hurried manner - The subjects of H:Ms: discourse were less objectionable than the day preceding, & there was less irritability. H:Ms. dinner was again preceded by & follw'd by a long form of religious ceremony. Indeed H:M. was more than usually occupied with religious subjects at other times of the day. In the evening H:M. slept 2 hours, & He slept besides 4 hours in the course of the night. This morning H:M. spoke to us kindly, & express'd in a feeling manner His regret for the Bishop of Oxford. Yet presently drew from His Lordship's death a conclusion respecting the extinction of the establish'd Church in a manner that was altogether the effect of disorder - WH: W. Heberden. J. Willis. R.
