Dec: 16. Monday P. 84. Tongue Clean - To the Queen's Council - H:M: talk'd yesterday throughout the greater part of the day - In His conversation there was not a gleam of reason, & with His usual errors grossness was occasionally evinced - The usual ceremony preceded dinner wch was more protracted than common & His dinner occupied a great deal of time from the great mixture of talking that accompanied it - H:M: slept about 2 hours in the eveng - At 9 H: M: went to bed without reluctance & during undressing there was a great deal of silly & wrong conversation. H:M: slept 1 1/2 hours during the night. Our interview this morning was short; He received us in very bad humour, & soon dismiss'd us in a storm. MB. M. Baillie. J. Willis. R. Willis.
