Nov: 21. Thursday. To the Queen's Council. The excitement under which H:M: was found at the visit of the Phys. yesterday morning was gradually wrought up into such a state of turbulence and violence by midday as to render the Restraint indispensably necessary. It was desirable to defer this expedient if possible until the K: had dined - but it was utterly impracticable - & the K: ate nothing in consequence until 5 or 6. in the evening wn H:M: took His Cocoa. The K: slept from 7 till nearly 11. wth a short interruption - & has slept about 40 min: more in the night.
