Nov: 13. Wednesday. P.80 Countenance clear - H:M: may be said to have pass'd the last day well - in as much as He was free from passion or violence But we cannot say that there was any approach to reason corresponding to the diminution of morbid excitement. The greater part of the day was pass'd in a sort of quiet reverie - but without any appearance of natural character in H:M:s conversation and manner. H:M: did not sleep in His chair yesterday & slept only 2¾ hours in bed. The rest of the night was free from any considerable excitement. This morning H:M: received us kindly, & paid some attention to subjects that were proposed to Him, & likewise detail'd some circumstances of past times. Yet He manifested
