The irritability wch we notic'd in H:M: yesterday morning entirely subsided by the time of his dinner, & H:M: pass'd the remaining part of the day very quietly. H:M: during the last few days has never address'd imaginary company in the manner he used to do, & if He has adverted at all to the subject of His Ladies or of persons deceas'd, it has at least been very seldom, & not so as to constitute a prominent feature of His present condition. But while there has not appeard to be more of sight than before. there is a great deficiency of natural observation or natural interest; & any thing that has been occasionally suggested to H:M: instead of leading Him to any
