He wd have gone then without reluctance. In this, however, we were deceived: H:M: got into a violent burst of indignation & was obliged to be carried, and was dress'd by force. H:M: slept in all about 3½ hours in the night. When He awoke He became turbulent & intractable - so ye confinemt: became necessary for 3 hours. H:M: still continues in the perverse disposition towards uncleanliness, but He did not in the night carry it to so great a length as on Saty: eveng. Our interview this morning was also short, for He was desirous that it shd be soon over. His conversation related chiefly to the Inundation, & the tumbling down of St George's Hall which H:M: thinks has taken place. Signd M Baillie [[underline]] R Willis [[/underline]]
