Repeated attempts were made at our interview this morning to obtain information from H:M: of His feelings & condition - but every question was answered by an imprecation, & we learned nothing, in fact, but what was obvious frm the King's external appearance. His M: looked pale - but perhaps it was the paleness of anger rather than of exhaustion - tho' it can hardly be doubted that such an incessant excitement must have worn the frame considerably - I am, Sir, &c H Halford
