Oct: 21st. Monday. To the Queen's Council: About noon yesterday H:M: who had been before in a very irritable state became so intractable as to require the Restraint to be impos'd, which was contin'd for an hour. H:M: then dined, but there was more irritation, as might be expected, than usual at dinner. He went thro' the usual ceremony before dinner in a shorter way, & threw from Him two cups with a little water in them, & the skins of His grapes. Throt: ye afternoon H:M: was very silent with a look of settled indignation in His countenance, & in the evening He frequently stamp'd both His feet with great violence on the floor of the room. This H:M: said he did by orders of God Almighty.
