Absent from Windsor Oct: 20. Sunday. To the Queens Council H:M: throughout yesterday was much more silent than usual; yet He shew'd a great deal of irritation at His dinner wch was preceded by the common ceremony. H:M: slept about 20 minutes at 3 oclock, & again 1½ hours in the evening. He went to bed willingly at 9 oclock, but His conversation at that time was both very trifling & irrational. H:M: did not sleep more than 25 mins: during the night. He was sometimes silent for a short interval, but He was almost constantly talking irrationally or was uttering execrations against the man in attendance. H:M: thought that a certain Lord sat up in his bed room all last night for the purpose of protecting Him, & as that Lord did His business very insufficiently, H:M: did not hesitate to abuse Him.
