Oct: 18. Friday. P:74 - Little or no effect from the Calomel. To the Prince-Regent Sir H.M. was more silent yesterday than is usual - but betray'd nevertheless a good deal of irritability occasionally. The K: slept the greater part of the afternoon, but did not appear at all the better for it as H:M:s manner when He went to bed was as boisterous and violent as we have known it at any time. He slept an hour & 1/4 before midnight, but was oblig'd to be Restrained wn He awoke, & pass'd the remainder of the night without sleep & under confinement. There did not appear, thro' the whole of yesterday, any interval in wch even for an instant H:M: was not occupied by strange unformed conceits & at one visit this morning the King's mind was still so fill'd with his distempered [[catchword]] fantasies [[/catchword]]
