To the Prince-Regent - [[underline]] Sir [[/underline]] The K. appeared in very good humour & perfectly contented with Himself throughout the day - & we observe that it is in this state that H:M: discovers more fully His erroneous notions. The religious ceremony at dinner time seem'd to strike the Consulting Phys: forcibly & it must have made a deeper impression still on their minds that all the distemper'd ideas wch fill'd H:M:s thoughts were express'd by H:M: in His usual natural manner. At bed time H:M: was extremely violent for some minutes - & was oblig'd to be carried into His chamber. The K: slept 4 ¼ hours but the sleep was more broken & less sound than usual. H:M: reception of the Phys: this morning was good humour'd - but He seem'd so overwhelm'd with His erroneous ideas, that no impression was made on His mind by any thing wch pass'd from them: HH.
