178 [[underline]] Dysentery [[/underline]] Dr Rowley's management of me in the ^ [[addition]] fever & [[/underline]] dysentery 7ber 3 - 1805 - 1st I was bled, - that was for Fever of which I had a good deal - afterwards - a strong dose of Castor Oil [[underline]] no 1 [[/underline]] Take of white sugar 8 Grains Antimonial powder .... 12 Grains Camphor .... 24 Grains mix these with Mucilage of Gum Arabic & make them into [[underline]] 8 [[/underline]] Pills two of which are to be taken every six hours with the following draught take of Camphor Julep - 1 ounce & a half, or [[underline]] 3 [[/underline]] table spoonfuls Mindererus Spirit half an ounce, - or [[underline]] 1 [[/underline]] tablespnful the black dose good for Wind, [[underline]] no 2 [[/underline]] Take of Infusion of Senna - [[underline]] 2 [[/underline]] ounces Rhubarb in powder .... 15 Grains Epsom salts .... 2 drams - mixed & to be taken immediately. - no 3 Take of the best manna - [[underline]] 1 [[/underline]] ounce [[addition]] Cinnamon or [[/addition]] Peppermint Water .... 5 ounces & a half Oil of sweet almonds ....2 ounces & a half mucilage of Gum Arabic, ....half an ounce to be made into a mixture dissolving first the manna
