175 Treatment of Ly D by Dr Dundar when her Bowells were inflamed 1st take a Lavement of oil & gruel, & repeat them often at the same time take of Vitriolated Magnesia - 2 ounces Peppermint Water 8 table spoonfuls and of this take 3 table spoonfuls every two hours till it operates - When the Bowells are thus cleansed take next day - of Chalk mixture half an ounce Compound tincture of Cardamums half a dram Tincture of opium 10 drops - mix it for a draught & take one every four hours.- when you are thus brought back to yr proper state by way of a strengthener for the stomach take Tincture of Columba Root a teaspoonfull in a Wine Glass of ginger Tea for several evenings. - & To recover your appetite take the following receipt. turn over
