152 Purgings & Complaints of Babies Extract of Logwood [[underline]] - 2 scruples [[/underline]] - Venice Treacle [[underline]] 2 ditto [[/underline]] Cinnamon Water [[underline]] 2 ounces [[/underline]] - Chalk mixture [[underline]] 4 ounces [[/underline]] mix all these together & give a table spoonful every 4 hours - shaking the Bottle - continue the till the purging is lessened upon all occasions prepared Chalk - or magnesia correct all acidities in the Stomach. When purged & griped Take of the prepared Chalk mixture four ounces & give this to the Baby at pleasure mixing it with his other food - or not - just as convenient for a violent purging Chalk mixture - 7 drachms Extract of Logwood - 10 Grains Mithridate - 8 Grains - give it this in small quantities while the purging last every 8 hours.
