149 Coughs - Colds - Fevers Paregoric Elixir - 8 table spoonfuls Vinegar of Squills - one large ditto mix these & take a table spoonful of this mixture, in a glass of Water. - an obstinate hard Cough One ounce of the animated Balsum of Sulphur, - put of this [[deletion]] some [[/deletion]] [[insertion]] 7, or 8 [[/insertion]] drops on a lump of sugar [[deletion]] & [[/deletion]] 3 or 4 times per day. Tolu Balsam half a drachm Water three ounces & a half Syrup of White poppies 2 drachms Camphorated tincture of Opium 1 drachm one table spoonful to be taken very frequently. - the Body being kept open - Dr Pitcairne June 14th - 1806
