143 -Stomach - Jaundice - Bile For the Stomach by Sir Lucas Pepys. 2 drachms of Bark- 16 drams of Rhubarb- 40 Grains of Ginger - 1 pint of boiling Water, put all these together in a close Vessel, for six hours shaking them very constantly - & after letting it stand two more pour off the clear liquor, & take of that [[underline]] 8 [[/underline]] table spoonfuls per day. - very good receipt Rhubarb pills, before Breakfast, & dinner are also [[underline]] very good [[/underline]] for digestion.
