133. For Burns - Falls - Bruises - Stings. The moment you have burnt, or hurt yourself in any way, while the skin remains unbroken get some Water saturated with Salt, & continue incessantly to keep pouring it gently over the place. For a Sting Laudanum mixed with a little Oil, half & half, is very good to extract the pain from a wasp sting &c &c Mlle demeure's receipt for a Burn - Brussells [[unclear]] 1802 Take the White of an Egg, & heat it up with the best Oil of the worst Burn cured by this leaves no mark.
